Fiona Payne

Fiona Payne

Chair

Fiona joined the Therapy Focus Board in 2017 and was elected as Chairperson in the same year. She is a member of Therapy Focus’ People & Culture Committee and Customer & Clinical Governance Committee.

Originally trained as a physiotherapist at Curtin University, Fiona has worked with children and families in multiple government and health sector roles within the WA community. She values these experiences for the insights they provided around the importance of growing potential, strengthening families and celebrating achievements. Fiona has governance roles with other organisations including Good Sammy Enterprises, Brightwater Care Group, South Metropolitan Health Service, Victory Life Centre, Stan Perron Charitable Foundation and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Deputy Chair

Tony joined the Therapy Focus Board in 2017 and is a member of Therapy Focus’ Audit & Risk Committee and Customer & Clinical Governance Committee.

Tony brings over 35 years’ board experience as a chair, non-executive director, CEO and senior executive across disability, aged care, healthcare, insurance, property and legal. He is currently Deputy Chair at Southern Cross Care (WA), Non-Executive Director of PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA, Disability Assembly WA Limited, and a Member of the Carers Advisory Council to the Minister for Communities WA. Tony was formerly CEO of Activ Foundation Inc and is passionate about enhancing customer value in community based organisations.

Ann Dawson - Board Director

Ann Dawson

Ann joined the Therapy Focus Board in 2018 and is Chair of Therapy Focus’ People & Culture Committee.

Ann has held Executive positions with Activ, Royal Flying Doctor Service WA, Anglican Diocese of Perth, Craigcare, UnitingCare West and Amana Living. She brings highly strategic finance executive experience to her role with over 30 years of experience managing mid-sized organisations, predominantly in the healthcare sector. Her experience includes leading financial and project management of large construction and redevelopment projects, business analysis and development and strategic management.

Ann also currently holds board positions with Hope Community Services, Lisle Villages Inc, Godrich Healthcare and the WA Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency).

A Fellow Member of CPA Australia, Ann holds an Executive Masters (MBA) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, majoring in accounting and business law, and is also a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Fiona Notley - Board Director

Fiona Notley

Fiona joined the Therapy Focus Board in 2022 and is Chair of Therapy Focus’ Audit & Risk Committee.

Fiona is a Senior Executive and Non-Executive Director with 22 years’ experience in a diverse range of roles and sectors including education, sport, and health. She is currently Curtin University’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) having joined the University in 2018. The COO portfolio spans a wide range of large and complex service areas including, communications, people and culture, digital technologies and information management, risk, audit and compliance, health and safety, property and facilities development, engagement services that include, sport and recreation, early learning centre, health services and accommodation.

Fiona is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Master of Business Administration. She is the current Chair of Universities Australia Deputy Vice Chancellor Corporates, Board Chair of Basketball Western Australia, Director for the Committee for Perth, and patron of Professionals@Curtin.

Matthew Felton

Matthew joined the Therapy Focus Board in 2023 and is a member of Therapy Focus’ Audit & Risk Committee.

Matthew is a general management professional in the building and construction sector with previous experience as a commercial analyst. His passion for supporting people with disability has seen Matthew hold non-Executive roles within the not-for-profit sector, most notably as the Deputy Chair for one of Australia’s leading musculoskeletal tissue banks, PlusLife.

Matthew is an accomplished para-athlete having represented Australia in Para Marathon World Championship and World Cup events and holds three national para records.

In 2018, Matthew was awarded a 40under40 award in recognition of his unique business acumen and forward-thinking attitude. He believes in enriching the lives of those living in pain or with disability and sees Therapy Focus as an integral part of delivering this to the wider community.

Julianne Adams

Julianne joined the Therapy Focus Board in 2023 and is Chair of Therapy Focus’ Customer & Clinical Governance Committee.

Julianne is an occupational therapist with extensive clinical expertise. Her current work focuses on complex injury and disease management within the compensable system and consulting for regulatory and insurance agencies. This work is informed by Julianne’s experience in the injury management and insurance sectors, acquired through roles in stakeholder engagement, policy and strategy development with statutory authorities. It is enhanced by her collaborative approach, communication and leadership skills, analytical approach and public speaking experience.

Outside of work Julianne is a two-time Paralympian, competing in wheelchair basketball at all levels and an athlete representative in disability sporting bodies. Julianne appreciates the unrealised potential of people with disability to be meaningfully engaged in society and valued contributors.  This fuels her drive to influence environmental and systemic change and empower people with disability to achieve their goals.
