Therapy Focus is committed to ensuring our website and its content is accessible to people of all abilities.

To allow all users to access and enjoy our content, Therapy Focus aims to meet as many of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards as recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and Australian Government.

Responsive design

Therapy Focus understands that our website is accessed on a growing number of devices, including mobile phones, personal computers, laptops and tablets. Our website has been designed to respond to the device being used and displayed most effectively.

 

Tab-based navigation 

Our website allows tab-based navigation:

  • When you are on a menu item, use tab to navigate.
  • Within forms, tab can also be used to navigate to each form field.

 

Webpage Zoom 

If you would prefer to have the text of this website displayed larger than the default you can use your browser’s zoom function to increase the text size using the zoom and increase font options from your browser’s menu:

  • Microsoft Windows: Press the Ctrl key on your keyboard and use the + or – key to zoom in and out
  • Mac OS: Press the Apple key on your keyboard and use the + or – key to zoom in and out

 

Colour Contrast

To turn on your computer’s screen colour contrast use the following keyboard shortcuts:

 

Microsoft Windows users:

Press the ‘Alt’ + left ‘shift’ + ‘PRINT SCREEN’ keys together to open the dialogue box. Select ‘YES’ to turn on High Contrast.

 

Mac / OSX users:

Press the ‘Cmd’ + ‘Ctrl’ + ‘Alt’ + ‘8’ keys to invert the colours of your screen.

Note: This function will not work until you go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Accessibility and tick the “Invert Colors” box.)

 

Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks contain descriptions of information found in the link’s destination, where possible.

All links open in the same window unless the link is to a document, which will open in a new window.

 

Graphics and Images

All graphics and images used on this website have alternative text provided, apart from images that are used for decorative purposes only. Some browsers may also display a tooltip of this alt text when the cursor hovers on the image. 

 

Viewing documents

In line with WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements, Therapy Focus has taken steps to ensure that information contained within downloadable PDFs can also be accessed via an alternative format such as HTML or a Microsoft Word document. However, some older PDFs may not have an alternative available.

 

If you need one of these PDFs in an alternative format, please contact us so that we can provide a suitable alternative.

 

If you do not have the software required to view the documents available on our site, the following online applications will allow you to view the documents:
