ReFocus therapy centre expands services to the South West

By Lenora Chau

Brand Engagement Specialist

This July, we’re bringing the latest equipment and assistive technology together in one place, so we can better support the South West community.

This will be our second ReFocus therapy centre, following the success of our first location in Bentley, Perth. The Bunbury centre will offer a wide range of therapy services, including short, intensive blocks of therapy for people who haven’t seen success with ongoing therapy at home or in community environments.

Delivering therapy this way helps people develop the functional skills and confidence they need to transition to community-based therapy and rehabilitation.

Bunbury office

“This marks a significant milestone for Therapy Focus, bringing a truly unique service and its highly specialist equipment to the South West for the very first time. I can’t wait to see the difference this will make for our community in Bunbury and surrounds.” – Danelle Milward (Senior Manager of Therapy South)

Thanks to generous funding from Telethon and the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, we’re proud to bring ReFocus to Bunbury — supporting the local community in reaching their therapy goals.

Our new space is equipped with a range of gym-style equipment, offering customers an exciting and supportive environment tailored to their individual needs. It’s another step forward in helping our customers reach their potential, with tools and spaces designed to encourage progress, confidence, and independence.

Who can access the centre?

ReFocus was designed to support people with disability who require access to complex equipment for rehabilitation. It supports people who want to develop their gross motor skills, mobility and increase their independence in everyday life.

The centre provides a safe and supported environment for people who are unable to access a standard community gym. The centre is suited to all ages and is located at our Bunbury office at 24 Stirling Street.

Therapists can provide consistent support and training within a controlled environment with a range of equipment all in one place.

Is ReFocus right for you?

ReFocus might be suitable if you:

  • Underwent lower limb surgery or botox in the last 6 months
  • Recently acquired new lower limb orthoses, lower limb prostheses, or walking aid
  • Have current goals related to walking, running, aerobic capacity, or general mobility
  • Aspire to integrate into a community gym
  • Are currently accessing services related to hip surveillance and/or spinal posture
  • Recently received a communication device or currently waiting delivery of a prescribed device
  • Have goals related to accessing everyday technology in and around the home such as apps, gaming consoles or lighting

We offer a range of tailored, short-term intensive therapy packages designed to help you reach your goals. These packages can be adapted in consultation with your therapist to suit your individual needs.

With the generous support of Telethon and the Stan Perron Charitable Foundation, ReFocus is excited to open its doors in Bunbury in July 2025.
