On Friday, 25 July Therapy Focus staff gathered to celebrate the outstanding achievements of their colleagues at the 2025 Staff Awards.
Held at Long Neck Brewery against the scenic Swan River backdrop, the event was hosted by the ever-engaging Casey Beros as Master of Ceremonies. In the South West, team members from Margaret River and Bunbury came together at the Hilton Garden Inn in Busselton to join the celebrations via livestream. The evening began with a heartfelt Welcome to Country delivered by Whadjuk Noongar Elder Nick Abraham, who reflected on the importance of connection, family and personal reflection.

Guests then had the chance to enjoy some delicious food and catch up with colleagues — a rare and special opportunity to connect with so many of our team in one room. To lift the energy, Casey got everyone moving with some fun games, setting the tone for the rest of the evening. The highlight that followed was a standout performance by our very own Mark Kosowitz, whose musical talents brought a touch of magic to the night! “Before we started working with Holly and Sarah, everything in life felt overwhelmingly difficult. They’ve been with our family for over 16 years combined, and truly, they have become part of our family.
They stepped in where others wouldn’t, especially in schools where teachers didn’t understand our children’s needs. They advocated fiercely, challenging systems and processes to make sure our kids were seen, heard, and supported properly. They gave us therapy tasks that helped us build structure and hope. But more than anything, they gave us strength when we had none left. They helped us breathe again.”
