Welcoming our 2025 Graduates

On Monday 3 February 2025, we welcomed 23 graduates from Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology and Physiotherapy disciplines to our orientation day at Hillview Intercultural Community Centre.

As one of Western Australia’s leading disability service providers, Therapy Focus is dedicated to nurturing the growth of emerging talent. Our Graduate Program empowers new clinicians to kick-start their careers with the support of a strong network of experienced professionals and resources. With a clear, structured framework, they can confidently advance their careers and pursue their passion.

In 2025, our Graduate Program will support 13 Occupational Therapists, 7 Speech Pathologists, and 3 Physiotherapists as they embark on their careers. After completing a comprehensive and structured program, these allied health clinicians will navigate established clinical pathways, growing from graduates to senior clinicians.

Throughout the program, they will be paired with a senior clinical mentor and work within multidisciplinary teams, supporting a diverse caseload of customers. They will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various specialist areas while learning from our highly skilled Clinical Leads.

Janesta Stobbe, Senior Manager of Therapy North, shared her excitement about welcoming the next generation of clinicians.

“What a privilege we had to welcome such a group of enthusiastic graduates to Therapy Focus. I love the fact that we can be an integral part of their clinician journey and see how they grow into well rounded therapists.”

Occupational Therapist and current graduate Lauren Raynor reflected on the day’s events, sharing how the orientation made her feel valued and supported as she grows in her role as a clinician.

“The entire team were lovely and provided us with a wide range of information to support our graduate pathway journey which made me feel very welcomed, comfortable and supported starting a new role within Therapy Focus.”

As part of the graduate orientation proceedings, former graduate Maja Maric shared her experiences and gave the incoming cohort an insider’s look into a ‘Day in the Life as a Speech Pathologist.’

“I felt very supported as a new graduate, which set my career off to a great start. I wanted to share what I learned and answer the questions I once had. If I helped even one therapist worry less, I’m happy!”
