Changes to NDIS service pricing and billing policies

By Tessa Harding

Brand Engagement Manager

Each year the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) completes a price review to set the price limits for NDIS supports. This review has now been completed with the NDIS pricing arrangements and price limits set for 2021-22.

The team at Therapy Focus have reviewed these arrangements and made changes to our pricing and billing policies based on NDIA recommendations. These changes will ensure that we can keep providing therapy services that are comprehensive, community-based and high quality.

The following changes apply to all NDIS services from 1 August, 2021.

Pricing

The new price for general therapy is $193.99 per hour. Services delivered by a physiotherapist will be charged at $224.62 per hour, and services delivered by a psychologist will be charged at $234.83 per hour.

View our updated price lists for detailed pricing information for all of our services.

Cancellations

We now require two business days’ notice if you need to change or cancel an appointment. If you cancel within two business days you will be charged the full cost of the appointment, including travel.

Please refer to our cancellation policy for more information.

Travel

Previously we capped travel charges at 20% of our agreed NDIS budget for travel within the Perth metropolitan area, and 40% within regional areas. These travel caps no longer apply.

To reduce the cost of travel, we book appointments with other customers in your area on the same day and share the costs. You can also choose to come into one of our 19 office locations throughout Perth and in the South West region, or access services online via teletherapy.

Learn more about how we charge for travel.

For more detailed information about how we deliver and charge for our services, see our Terms of Service. There are Easy English and translated versions available.

Do I need to do anything?

These changes will be automatically applied to Service Agreements for current customers from 1 August, 2021. You do not need to complete any paperwork.

If you would like to know how many hours of service have been delivered, or how these changes might affect your remaining plan hours, you can request a statement of services from us at any time. This will detail the services you have received and the charges for each.

Have questions?
