CEO Update: Summer 2025/26
Summer has well and truly arrived with the Birak season, and the end of another year is approaching. It brings sunshine, warmth, opportunities for celebration, and time to slow down and reconnect. This is a wonderful moment to reflect on what we have achieved together and look to opportunities that lie ahead.
In some of the most challenging times, strength has come from the moments where people respond with courage, integrity and heart. I am continually in awe of the Therapy Focus team and the unwavering dedication shown by our staff, every single day, to ensure the best possible outcomes for our customers and their families. It inspires us, as an organisation, to safeguard the future of Therapy Focus, and we hold a strong and unwavering belief in positive times ahead.
As many of you will have read on 11 December, I’m pleased to share that all staff, clinic locations and therapy services will be retained following our transition into the APM Group. This enables Therapy Focus to continue delivering the high-quality, person-centred therapy supports our customers expect throughout their therapy journey with us.
I would like to sincerely thank APM for their commitment to Therapy Focus, providing the stability and continuity needed to ensure high-quality care for you and your family now and into the future. In a challenging operating environment, APM’s support reinforces that we are truly ‘stronger together’.
APM remains dedicated to delivering excellent services for NDIS participants and ensuring your therapy supports continue without disruption.
This year, as always, our focus on high-quality person-centred services, strong advocacy at all levels, and meaningful community engagement has remained central to who we are. From expanding our ReFocus therapy centre to the South West, growing our First Focus program across multiple Perth locations, or connecting with families at recent events including the Telethon Family Festival and Have a Go Day, we continue to ensure every therapy journey is extraordinary.
I would also encourage families to share their views in the 2025-26 NDIS Annual Pricing Review consultation. The review will focus on five key support areas, including therapy supports. It is vital that the voices of participants and their families are heard to help shape a fair and sustainable system. A system that enables providers to deliver high-quality, person-centred supports in a sustainable way, especially for people with complex needs. I’m pleased that the NDIA has listened to feedback from participants, families and providers that greater notice of any incoming changes is needed. Because of this, they will be releasing pricing recommendations earlier next year. The consultation period remains open until 8 February 2026.
Our team will be taking a break over the festive season, with offices closing 5pm Friday, 19 December and returning Monday, 5 January 2026. We hope this time allows you to connect with family and friends, take a well-earned break, and return recharged.
On behalf of everyone at Therapy Focus, we wish you a joyful festive season, a restful summer break, and a very happy new year. Thank you for the trust you place in us and for allowing us to support you throughout your therapy journey.
We are grateful to have shared the year with you and look forward to building on our shared successes in 2026 and beyond.
