CEO Update: Summer 2024/25
As the year comes to an end, it’s the perfect time to look back, reflect and celebrate everything we’ve accomplished in our continued pursuit of therapy excellence.
Firstly, we would like to thank you for trusting us to be your therapy partner. Your unique journey inspires us to continue providing extraordinary supports across the WA community. We are truly grateful for the trust you place in us.
Our new Bunbury office had it’s official opening on Tuesday, 10 December, where staff, local providers and special guests connected and toured our spacious new office on Stirling Street. I would like to extend a special thank you to the Hon. Don Punch, MLA; Minister for Regional Development; Disability Services; Fisheries; Seniors and Ageing; Volunteering, for officially opening the office and for his address which highlighted the vital role of community service providers and their profound impact on the local community. My thanks also to the Hon. Nola Marino MP, Member for Forrest and Jaysen de San Miguel, Mayor, City of Bunbury for joining in our celebrations at what is a very busy time of year. As an organisation, we are excited to expand our service capability to better serve the growing needs of the South West.
On 3 December, I had the privilege of attending the National Disability Services lunch at Crown Perth, alongside members of the Therapy Focus Board, Customer Reference Group and staff, in celebration of International Day of People with Disability. The event showcased the incredible achievements of people with disability in Western Australia, featuring provoking panellists, talented performers and a vibrant artisan marketplace. Thank you to everyone involved in organising such a wonderful celebration.
We recently participated in our regular NDIS audit and I am very proud of the achievements of the Therapy Focus team. We are waiting for the official report from the auditors, but they were very complimentary in their closing remarks regarding the exceptionally high quality of services provided by Therapy Focus, across many aspects of the business. We will be sure to share the results with you when we receive them!
Our team continues to grow, and we are preparing to welcome our 2025 graduate intake in early February. It’s always a rewarding opportunity to see the next generation of talented therapists choosing Therapy Focus as the place to begin their careers.
On behalf of the team at Therapy Focus, I extend our warmest wishes for a lovely festive summer break and a very happy new year. We look forward to continuing to support you in 2025.
