Bunbury expansion marks a new chapter in South West support

On Tuesday 10 December 2024, Therapy Focus celebrated the official opening of its new office, centrally located on Stirling Street in the heart of Bunbury.

The new, greatly expanded office provides enhanced facilities and significantly more space, including additional therapy rooms and ample space for our growing team. This exciting upgrade enables us to provide even more support to the wonderful Bunbury community.

The event kicked off with a lovely Welcome to Country, delivered by Wardandi Elder Gail Hill from the Keipa Boodja Aboriginal Corporation.

The Hon Don Punch, MLA, Minister for Regional Development; Disability Services; Fisheries; Seniors and Ageing; Volunteering then delivered his address, officially opening the new Bunbury office. He highlighted the vital role of community service providers and their profound impact on the local community.

Therapy Focus CEO Alison Kelly invited our special guests to join her and the Hon Don Punch for the ceremonial ribbon cutting, a timeless tradition that officially marked the occasion. After all, no opening event is complete without it!

Alison expressed her gratitude to attendees and reflected on the organisation’s journey to find a suitable space. She acknowledged the dedication of the local teams, who provide essential therapy support to customers of all ages in Bunbury and across the South West. She also emphasised the organisation’s ongoing commitment to delivering tailored, high-quality therapy services to meet the region’s growing needs and how the new office can help support this mission.

Senior Manager of Therapy South, Danelle Milward echoed Alison’s thoughts and shared a heartfelt testimonial from one of our valued Bunbury clients, Dazelle. The testimonial highlighted the positive impact of the therapy received by Dazelle’s 9-year-old daughter.

“Therapy Focus has been wonderful with helping my daughter over the last 3 years. She has made wonderful progress with her set goals… Their level of expertise in this field is amazing. Not only do they work very well towards the goals, they are very welcoming and understanding in supporting not only my daughter, but helping me too.”

After the speeches concluded, guests had the chance to explore the new office facilities and therapy rooms during guided tours. They enjoyed the delightful catering and mingled with other guests, offering a valuable opportunity to reflect and connect as the year draws to an end.

We are very thankful for everyone who attended our opening event. We would like to make a special thank you to the Hon Don Punch, MLA; Nola Marino MP, Member for Forrest; and Jaysen de San Miguel, Mayor, City of Bunbury for making time to join in the celebrations during this busy time of year.

We are excited for the possibilities that this new office will bring in assisting our therapists to guide our customers on their therapy journey.
