Two Therapy Focus clinicians have been named finalists in the ‘Allied Health Professionals’ category at the 2025 Disability Support Awards.

Team Leader and Senior Assistive Technology Consultant Deborah Waghorn and Senior Physiotherapist Stephanie Andrew were finalists in the new ‘Allied Health Professionals’ category. A special shoutout to Deborah Waghorn, who was also a finalist in the ‘Emerging Leader’ category.

Both Deborah and Stephanie attended the awards ceremony at Crown Ballroom on Saturday 10 May alongside Therapy Focus Chief Operating Officer Curtis Reddell, Board Chair Fiona Payne, and members of the Senior Management Team.

An excerpt from Deborah’s nomination highlighted her leadership, dedication, and passion for supporting others.

“Deb’s influence extends beyond direct client care; she plays a key role in educating and supporting her peers to adopt person-centered approaches. Through her guidance on complex case management, she encourages clinicians to think creatively and holistically, finding solutions that enhance customer independence and wellbeing.”

Stephanie’s nomination highlighted her unwavering commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care that truly makes a difference.

“The Teachers will do everything in their power to allow Stephanie access to the school as she does so much for the children and really improves the lives of kids and Teachers with her strategies.” – Durham Road School
