Angelena is a committed and innovative Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson with significant experience spanning the commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors. Prior to emigrating to Australia from the UK, Angelena was the Group CEO of not-for-profit organisation Avalon Group, where she led a transition from block funding to individualised funding. Upon arriving in Australia, Angelena led the merger of three state specialist health organisations to form a national organisation, and was the CEO of regional NSW not-for-profit organisation, CRANES, before joining Therapy Focus in early 2019. Angelena is an inspirational leader who is driven to achieve excellence in customer experience, and organisational development and growth. She believes this is achieved through solid operational and financial performance, and responsiveness to both staff and customers.
Theresa is a qualified speech pathologist and audiologist, as well as a certified life coach. She has extensive experience as a clinician in a range of different contexts, including private practice and community outreach programs in South Africa, and has worked in the disability sector for 16 years. Theresa joined Therapy Focus in 2003 as a senior clinician and has experience as both a Team Leader and Regional Manager. She is passionate about quality service delivery and ensuring a positive experiences for clients and staff.
Russell is a CIMA qualified Chartered Accountant with experience of a variety of industries, which he gained in the UK before arriving in Australia. He joined Therapy Focus in 2009 and has worked within the Finance Team since then. Russell is motivated to ensure Therapy Focus is a financially sustainable organisation that is well positioned to take advantage of the current challenges facing the disability sector.
Kelly is a qualified human resource professional with 20 years’ experience in the field. She has worked across multiple industries, including mining, manufacturing, professional services, local government and not-for-profit, and has recently moved into the disability sector. She is passionate about understanding and interpreting business context to lead organisational change, business transformation and deliver improved outcomes.
Evan is a qualified occupational therapist and has worked in the disability sector for more than 20 years. He has worked in a range of settings, including private practice and supported open employment. Evan joined Therapy Focus in 2010 as an Occupational Therapist and has held a number of roles including Clinical Specialist; Technology, Team Leader and Regional Manager. Evan is passionate about maintaining an engaging and supportive work environment for staff, which enables a high quality, sustainable service.
Samantha is a qualified occupational therapist with a Master of Business Administration. She has worked in the disability sector for the past 11 years across a range of settings, including the not-for-profit, government and tertiary education industries. Sam joined Therapy Focus in 2013 as an Occupational Therapist before moving into the NDIS Project Manager role. Her interests are in driving a positive change agenda for people with disability.
