Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors work collectively to enhance strategic direction and support the Executive Team to provide strong operational leadership and management.

Ms Fiona Payne

Chairperson

Fiona joined the Board in 2017 and was elected as Chairperson in the same year. 

Originally trained as a physiotherapist at Curtin University, Fiona has worked with children and families in a number of government and health sector roles within the WA community. She values these experiences for the insight they provided into the importance of growing potential, strengthening families and celebrating achievements. Fiona is a dynamic leader, effective manager and contemporary director with extensive human services experience in the government and community. 

Mr Tony Vis

Deputy Chair

Tony joined the Board in 2017.

Tony brings over 30 years’ board experience as a chair and director in industries including disability, insurance, property and governance. The former CEO of Activ Foundation, Tony is currently on the Board of Southern Cross Care, Chair of the Independent Centre for Applied NFP Research Inc. and an independent panellist for the WA NDIS Review Panel. Tony is passionate about enhancing customer value in community based organisations.

Mr Grant Bayne

Treasurer

Grant joined the Board in 2015 and is Chair of the Audit & Investment Committee.

Grant has been the Chief Financial Officer for the Metropolitan Cemeteries Board since April 2013. He has more than 15 years business experience and has held a number of senior operational roles with a focus on financial management, tax and strategy. Grant is a qualified Chartered Accountant, has a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance and is also a member of MENSA.

Mr David Cox

David joined the Board in 2014 and is Chair of the Governance & Risk Committee.

David has extensive clinical experience in public and private healthcare settings with exposure to both not-for-profit and profit boards. His experience covers corporate and clinical governance, strategic management, change management, HR strategy implementation, and local and global marketing and sales program delivery. David is also the Chair of the Curtin Care (Formerly Curtin Aged Persons Homes Inc.) and past Vice President and current Board member of the Leading Aged Services Australia.  

Ms Amanda Reed

Amanda joined the Board in 2016 and is also a member of the Parent Reference Group.

Amanda holds a number of qualifications in Community Services and has extensive experience working in the sector, including as a lecturer. Amanda's association with Therapy Focus began in 2010 when her son, who has cerebral palsy, Autism, Intellectual disability, vision impairment and Global Development Delay, entered the schooling system. She has a strong interest in capacity building, values family, social justice and equity, and holds a passion for inclusion - particularly of families in remote communities. 

Mr Michael Banton

Michael joined the Board in 2009.

Michael is the General Manager and Company Secretary for Caxton Cooperative, which is part of the Snap Printing Group. With more than 20 years experience and a track record in implementing strategic change, Michael is a true management professional.
