Ellenbrook

Jenine completed her qualifications as a physiotherapist in 1991 at Curtin University and has worked in Perth in the disability sector since 1992.  Her first role was as a physiotherapist with the Health Department, based at an education support school, where she grew to love the rewarding nature of this work.  Jenine has since remained in this line of work and transitioned across to work for Therapy Focus in 1998.  After a few years away from work, raising her family, Jenine returned to Therapy Focus in 2006 and is currently the Team Leader in our Ellenbrook team.

Jenine has been heavily involved in community inclusion activities and projects both at work and in the community. She was a Scout leader for several years, during which time she provided training for Scout leaders and youth members in disability and inclusion. This work took Jenine to the National Disability Awards in Canberra in 2008 as a finalist for the Inclusion Award.

She joined the SSEN-Disability School Council in 2019 as the representative for Therapy Focus, providing the opportunity to collaborate with the education community in supporting students with disability.

Jenine has worked extensively with many customers with complex disabilities, supporting them and their families to access specialised Assistive Technology and activities that are meaningful and fun.  She also has a special interest in working with children who have motor delays associated with sensory dysfunction. She has been involved in student research and delivery of training in this area, raising awareness of the importance of sensory development on the achievement of motor milestones.

Jenine loves seeing customers have access to the skills and technology that enable them to do things that bring them joy and fulfilment. She is passionate about customer-focused, quality service delivery and ensuring a positive team environment.

When not at work, you’ll find Jenine spending time with her family, gardening, camping, or hiking somewhere in our wonderful bushland.
