We’re inviting Therapy Focus customers, staff and their loved ones to join us as we celebrate another year in our extraordinary journey together.
This family-friendly event will be held on Sunday 3 December from 10am – 1pm at picturesque Beaton Park in Dalkeith, alongside the Jo Wheatley All Abilities Play Space. The event will mark the conclusion of our 25th Anniversary celebrations and coincide with International Day of People with Disability.
There’ll be a great range of entertainment for the entire family, from face painting for the little ones, to mini-golf for the big kids – even Mum and Dad will be entertained!
If that’s not enough, the Jo Wheatley All Abilities Play Space has a range of accessible activities, including a sensory garden, flying fox, climbing obstacles, slides, swings and water play.
Fuel your fun by enjoying a sausage sizzle or bring your own picnic to enjoy on the day!

In-demand DJ Incredable will be on the decks to get you up and grooving in the silent disco.
Touch, hold or simply admire the scaled and slithery creatures in the reptile encounter.

Test your skills with giant Jenga, naughts and crosses, and a mini-golf course.
Maximise your fun with big, bright and bouncy games and activities.
Fill your cup in the Switches and Senses Tent with an array of switch toys and sensory items.
Take some time out from the sounds, smells and sights in our designated chill out area.

Sunday Funday has been organised for Therapy Focus customers and staff, their families and the people in their support networks. As long as one person in your group is a customer or employee of Therapy Focus, you are welcome to attend the event.
Yes, the event and entertainment is free. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from the BBQ, coffee van and icecream van.
Free parking will be available at Beaton Park and along the Esplanade. We encourage car pooling if you are coming in larger groups as the surrounding park will remain open to the public.
There will be a range of food and beverage options available for purchase, including icecream van, coffee van and a sausage sizzle run by Therapy Focus staff.
Complimentary sausage sizzles, icecreams and tea/coffee will be available for a limited number of people. Tokens will be provided at the registration tent on a first-come, first-served basis.
You may also wish to bring a picnic and enjoy under the shaded marquee.
Yes, the event and the Jo Wheatley All Abilities Play Space cater to all abilities. The playground is fully fenced and there are accessible toilets onsite, including a Changing Places room accessible to holders of a MLAK key.
We encourage all customers and staff to register by Sunday 26 November 2023 so we can cater accordindly. Register now.
As Therapy Focus staff are also invited to the event, you may see your therapist, however we can't make any guarantees.
The Leadership Team and Board members will be in attendance, providing support for activities. Be sure to say hi and have a chat.
