We support parents and carers of people with disability to socialise, share ideas and experiences, and find out about available support.
Our qualified therapists and support staff work with parents and carers in group settings to discuss the challenges and triumphs of living with disability. Group sessions are welcoming of all parents and carers, and provide a judgement-free environment for confidential discussion. This gives you a chance to relax and talk openly, away from appointments and therapy.
Our parent/carer support groups provide opportunities to:
- Ask our therapists for advice and ideas
- Connect and socialise with other parents/carers
- Find out about resources
- Feel an increased sense of belonging and wellbeing
Groups are held in various locations throughout the Perth metropolitan area, and are often run with the support of our Parent Reference Group. As groups are held locally, facilitators and participants are able to provide the relevant information for your area.
