Volunteering with Therapy Focus is a great way to help make a positive difference in the lives of WA people living with disability.
As a not-for-organisation, Therapy Focus relies on the generous support of volunteers to assist with therapy programs, events, fundraising activities and administrative operations. Our volunteers receive regular updates about volunteering opportunities and are formally recognised for their contribution.
If accepted for a volunteer position, you will be asked to complete our volunteer application forms and sign our code of conduct prior to starting.
Volunteers over the age of 18 will need to provide a Volunteer National Police Certificate that is less than 6 months old. If you do not have a Volunteer National Police Certificate or if it is more than 6 months old our Volunteer Coordinator will assist you to complete an application, at no cost.
Some volunteering opportunities also require a current Working with Children’s Check. If you do not have a current Working with Children Check card our Volunteer Coordinator can assist you to complete an application and will reimburse you for the cost.
How do I sign up?

What our volunteers say
“It was my absolute pleasure to help out. I have some friends whose families have been assisted by Therapy Focus and some other people I know have children with Autism, so that’s why I like helping out. I know what a wonderful charity Therapy Focus is and what great work you do.” – Hanna
“Being a fourth year Occupational Therapy student going on a school-based placement, I found this volunteering opportunity [as a Resource Assistant] as a very valuable experience. I ended up utilising the tips and tricks learnt during my time at Therapy Focus Bassendean, such as the BoardMaker program, to create visual schedules for my clients on placement! I was also fortunate to meet some lovely therapists who ignited my passion for the profession. I encourage more therapy students to volunteer at Therapy Focus as the experience gained is invaluable!”- Natalie
