Tele-Transition Program

An online adult transition program for autistic adolescents and young adults.

Who can participate?

  • Autistic adolescents and young adults aged 15-25 years old.

What is involved?

  • Completing an online screening session to determine your eligibility for the program (1.5 hours). Participants who are eligible will complete the first evaluation (2 hours), involving online questionnaires relating to adult transition outcomes.
  • Participating in the Tele-TRANSITION© Program between May 2021 and November 2021 (20-week program). The program consists of an online self-directed program consisting of eight modules on different life areas, eight online group meetings and 11 online individual therapy support sessions. Each person will be paired with a therapist, providing support as they work towards their goals.
  • Complete an online evaluation for a second time (2 hours), involving online questionnaires relating to adult transition outcomes. You will also be invited to participate in a focus group or an interview to provide feedback about the Tele-TRANSITION© program.

There are 12 places available where the cost of the program is covered. If you would like to access the program privately you may be eligible for Medicare and private health rebates. The full cost is $2268.75 for 12-20 weeks of group and individual sessions with a Transition Trained Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist.
