Experiences of Therapy Assistant Intervention

By Curtin University

Researchers are exploring the experiences of CLINICIANS, THERAPY FOCUS CUSTOMERS, and THEIR FAMILIES in using therapy assistants.

Why is this research important?

The demand from NDIS-approved providers has caused a shortage of eligible practitioners to work with customers.

Therapy assistants (TA) have been introduced to work alongside Allied Health Professionals. Currently, there is limited knowledge regarding the financial benefit and customer care TA can offer.

The information collected from this research may provide key stakeholders with the knowledge to efficiently manage customers’ plans and therapy sessions with consideration to time, funding, and therapy outcomes.

What will be expected from the participants?

  • Initial 10-minute Qualtrics survey
  • One 30-minute online interview OR
  • One 30-minute written online questionnaire

What will your involvement mean?

Voicing your experience as a Therapy Focus service provider or user will provide the crucial information needed for this research. Information collected will assist in optimising therapy outcomes.

What will the participants receive?

Reimbursed with Coles and Myer Gift Cards as a thank you gift.
